But are you aware of the landscape planning rules that protect our unique environment and how they may impact what you can do on your property and how you can do it? I can help you work through these tricky problems .

If you are planning to build a house or other structure on your property, Council may require you to produce evidence that your proposal complies with relevant landscape zoning requirements. This will be in the form of a “landscape and visual assessment” - a written and photographic report that identifies the likely visual and landscape effects of your project on the wider landscape. I will work with you to identify any ways your project may need to be modified or changed to meet Council requirements and prepare a detailed assessment for you to present to Council as part of your Resource Consent application.

FEES: From $2,500-00 plus G.S.T.

Sometimes reports are not enough, and Council will require you to produce a “visual simulation” for your project. A visual simulation is an accurate graphic representation of your proposal, overlaid onto photos taken from neighbouring sites that may be visually impacted by it. The visual simulation will form a part of your Resource Consent application documentation presented to Council.

FEES: From $1,800-00 plus G.S.T.
